Ingredients:

1. Bread slices – 6

2. Ghee – 1/2 cup

3. Cashew & Raisins – 1/4th cup

4. Milk – 2 cups

5. Sugar – 1 cup

6. Saffron – 10 threads

7, Cardamom powder -1/2 tablespoon

How to make bread Halwa recipe with step by step instructions :

1. Trim the edges of the bread slices,Set aside.

2. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee and fry cashews until golden brown,remove the fried cashews and set aside.

3. Now add the bread slices and toast.

4. Toast until golden brown and crisp on both the sides,similarly toast the other 2 slices too.Set aside.

5. Add milk and let it boil til it’s leave the sides 

6. Now add the sugar and boil 

7. When it starts to bubble rigorously, roughly tear the bread slices and add it.Let it soak for few seconds.

8. Then mash it up with a laddle. 

9. Keep cooking in low flame 

10. When it starts to come together as a whole mass and ghee starts to ooze out the edges. It will just take few mins only.

11. Now add fried cashews, give a quick stir and switch of the flame and serve

Notes :

You may not end up using all the ghee fully, so add a tsp at a time and stop adding when it starts to ooze out.
